1. i went to the morongo indian reservation this morning to go to the malki museum. it was quite cool! and a beautiful day.

2. many friends watched the game with me last night. i'm blessed that all my dearest yankees will tolerate my crazy canadian ways, such as the need to watch hockey on saturday nights. we only have one tv. they're wonderful roomies :)

1. the canucks won. it was glorious. almost all my roomies and other friends watched for at least a bit, and i like to think that they loved it. ahh canucks how i love you.

2. i got back my social psych midterm essay today, A-. i am happy with that!

3. got back child observations today in my child development class, 22/20. sweeet! my grade in the class is now 89.97%. sooo close to an A! i better do work on the final.

4. just wrote 16 pages + 2 page bibliography. that's 18 pages.. in one night. yayay. sleep will be soo lovely <3

i'm in the airport waiting to go back to cali :( pooop. i don't wanna go!! too much homework/paper writing/finals studying in the next few weeks. makes me wanna yammy just thinking about it.

1. i had a lovely visit home :) so much fun. and i got to see many wonderful people.

2. in less than a month i will be HOME for 3 and a half months!!

3. in a few weeks my best friend kate will be landing in LA and we will be embarking on the most glorious road trip of all time.. the countdown is on. 26 days 3 hours 12 minutes 10 seconds

1. i spent a lovely day downtown with my mama yesterday, and got my hair cut. also bought some new clothing :)

2. went for lunch with my mama at white rock beach today which was just beautiful.

1. i went to the nail salon with bea this morning :) it was wonderful to catch up with my most favourite cod haha <3 love you lady, have an amazing trip!

2. i got to spend the afternoon with sean dalin!! yayayayay. we had coffee and played scratch and wins and took engagement style photos. overall, a very solid day. i cannot wait for playdates this summer!!

3. i spent the evening baking cookies with max's mama, brother , cousin, and danica (drew's gf). it was so very fun and deeelicious. i have a headache due to over consumption of icing. it's a glorious pain!

4. i got to see my favourite kid, max's little brother mikhail. SUCH an adorable child. and he gave me 2 whale gifts. loveeee <3

i love chocolate cake.

1. today my mama and i went thrift store shopping, and i got a few things. i got a beautiful floral belt at h & m :)

2. i went for a walk along the golf course after dinner with my parents which was quite nice. but veeery chilly. still quite lovely though.

3. last night i had a dream about this delicious chocolate cake brownie thingy they sell at thriftys. so my mama took me there today and we bought one. HEAVENLY. <3

4.i'm going to my favourite place (chilliwack) tomorrow, to see my favourite person (mr. dalin). i am so excited :)

1. breakfast with my seeeester and parents. it was quite nice, we laughed alot and i made many inappropriate jokes about my fathers strong (potentially too strong) feelings towards rick steves.

2. my mum and dad and i went and saw arthur today and it was SO funny. i really enjoyed it. even gordo was laughing alot and he hates everything haha i almost want to see it again tomorrow. that good.

3. my mother and father and i went to my grandma's house in harrison for dinner and she made all my favourites :) it was delicious. more food than i've eaten in the past 5 weeks combined probably. and then my aunt and uncle came over and we watched the game and chatted and it was such a lovely evening. family is the best!

3. tonight i was driving home and experienced the profound feeling of 'living in the moment'. i was in my car, and i came up over a hill to see beautiful beautiful lights and a great song came on and it was really lovely. vancouver is a wonderful city and i got to enjoy it for a few moments which was amazing. this is rare for me. as max pointed out this evening, i live about 10 years ahead all the time. i'm worrying about things that are at least a decade down the road all the time. so this moment? was a lovely moment :)

yay midterms

1. i wrote a midterm today and got 100%. it was easy, but still.. i'll take what i can get!

2. had a wonderful talk with a prof about grad school. and i'm quite looking forward to my future.

3. i'm home on friday.. AHHH i can't wait. and alot of my friends from high school are going to be back so i will have many people to see :) INCLUDING LINDSAY LOU. i am so excited.

1. went shopping today and got a bunch of stuff. nordstrom rack is a miracle.

2. i signed up for a new committee in sorority meeting and i'm going to be helping organize a week of events supporting 'to write love on her arms'. pretty excited about this, and about getting more involved. you only get out of it what you put into it i'm told, so i'm trying to put more into it!

3. went to rock harbor for the 7:00 service tonight with kenzie. it was really nice, the service was about the 2 sinners who were crucified next to Jesus. one was taunting Jesus, and one said remember me when you enter your kingdom. they talked about humility and how there is no sin that you can't come back from, that God's love in unconditional. it was a lovely service. i'm excited to go to peace portal next week though, because the music is more upbeat and happy!

4. my long day tomorrow is actually not so long. my 7-10 class is cancelled because we're going to an event on tuesday night instead. so happy!

the nightmares WILL NOT leave me. i am taking sleeping pills now, but they haven't helped at all. ughhhh

1. great meeting last night. wonderful people. i baked easter themed sugar cookies and they were a big hit which made me quite happy.

2. i went and saw a movie with mack & amy yesterday which was really fun. and the theatre had white cherry icees! the best.

3. my parents sent me a beautiful whale ring as a surprise! its so so great. unfortunately it broke already within the first 2 hours of wearing it :( so we're gonna send it back and get a new one!

4. tonight was skit night, huuuuge deal. so proud of my beautiful sisters who did an amazing job. we came 3rd overall and #1 for sororities! my roomie chelsea was in it and she was fantastic :) also my big bro's and little bro's fraternity won, so it was awesome.

5. i had a wonderful visit with my grandparents today :) family is the best thing in the whole wide world.

6. i'm going to my favourite store tomorrow and i'm going to buy something pretty. i never spend money, it's about time i get something lovely.

7. 5 days 16 hours 40 minutes 18 seconds until my mum and dad, and my home <3 i seriously cannot wait.

1. i went to a good meeting last night, it was really nice. i'm having a bit of a hard time right now so i think i'm gonna go to another one tonight.

2. at 3:45 today i'll be done for the weekend! so stoked.

3. i have a wonderful mother :) she let me call and cry and be a baby for a while last night and it made me feel much better.

1. noah and the whale's album the first days of spring has literally gotten me through the past week, and it's going to be getting me through many more.

2. last night kenzie and i watched the notebook and sobbed. it was wonderful. friday we're going to disneyland. i am quite lucky.

sleep does not come easily these days. and when it does, it's full of awful awful nightmares. i fall asleep praying for peaceful sleep every night. SO FRUSTRATING. so i am writing my blog right before bed time in hopes that the positivity will fill my mind throughout the night.

1. roomies. i am SO grateful for roomies. yesterday chels and i did a big target grocery shop and baked sugar cookies and i ate alot and it was woonderful. then we watched NCIS until 3 am (duh). today we got up at the crack of dawn (9:30), went to starbucks, and spent the day at our recruitment fiesta. then we got home, watched House, then chels, mack, amy and i all went on a roomie dinner date which was just wonderful. then we went to rocky mountain and got treats, and went to the video store. turns out it was closing down so all the DVDs were on sale for 5.99. i bought a few for my mama ,and i am now the proud owner of into the wild, and lars and the real girl :) two of my favourite movies ever! so stoked. then came the best part of all of this. we came home, all sat in the family room and played words with friends. chelsea and amy on their phones, mack on her ipod and i played on chelsea's ipad. it was so so lovely. we watched a couple movies and played words with friends (like scrabble) until late in the night. a truly glorious evening.

2. wonderful meetings. i went to a great meeting last night, and was so overwhelmed by all the support i received. everyone was so glad to see me back ,and a couple people invited me to an al-anon convention next weekend so i think i'll be spending my day there next saturday. i'm really excited i have been so welcomed into that community, i feel blessed.

3. my mother has already sold 2 necklaces! and one person who bought one, we don't even know. i have such a wonderful feeling about the success she's going to have and it's quite exciting :)

bed time, i ahve to be up in 5 hours to go to the santa monica antique swap meet and do some shopping for supplies for mama!! night night

1. it's thursday, which for me is friday. my evening consisted of hanging out with my roomies, eating lots and watching NCIS. heaven? i think yes.

2. today it was so hot out (29 celsius, or 90 for all you american folk)! so i went to albertsons and bought a nice variety of popsicles. i definitely had about 4. i couldn't help it, they were the fire cracker ones that are red white and blue. reminded me of my childhood :) anyway the sun was glorious, even if it was a bit too hot.

3. i have a busy weekend! (what?!?!) 2 meetings tomorrow, recruitment fiesta on saturday (yay...) and then a meeting satruday night. with a potential date after with chels and some other girls. also roomie grocery shopping trip to target tomorrow, and i'm going to santa monica to go to the antique swap meet on sunday morning. i'm trying to keep myself as busy as possible, so it's a good thing.

4. on the page for the first day of april in my devotional : "Prayer doesn't always change our situation, but prayer will always change us!" Love these words. Definitely words to live by, and think of everyday!

16 days!

1. school doesn't hate me!! so far midterms= 86 in child development, 98 in sociology of people in crisis, 86 in social theory, and 95 & 93 on indians of california papers i got back today. the 93 was my draft and i turned in my final paper today so hopefully that will bring my mark up more. currently i am writing one more paper, and then after this all that's left is one multiple choice midterm in a couple weeks! yaay

2. my mama launched her etsy site today! such beautiful necklaces. Check that out here :)

3. i went on a fantastic date with my big bro and my little bro today. we had some delicious frozen yogurt and discussed riding whales and their creepy moustaches (they're not shaving for the month of march.. march can't end soon enough)

4. max writes me cute little poems to brighten up my day, and i save them all in my phone. today ,while reading some of them, i came across something he said once that was so funny and great that i had to save it. he was describing anime or something.. "it's this TV show about a samurai sent to the future by way of an evil demon named aku. And it's just fantastically stylish." hahaha. i hope other people find this as funny as i do. it made me laugh and definitely made my day much better.

5. tomorrow is thursday, which is my friday. which means i can come home, clean my room, get in bed and fall into a vegetative state for a few days.. ahh so glorious. (except for my 2 meetings friday, and one saturday! wait.. halee with plans on a friday night? craziness)

serenity

this is a difficult week, and absolutely time for me to remember what i'm thankful for :)

1. i have amazing friends. from kate skyping with me until 3 am her time because i needed some face time with my best friend, to chelsea opening her bed to me last night and making me KD, i am so blessed to be surrounded by such wonderful people. i may not be the most social person (my weekends consist of homework, NCIS and a lot of eating..), but the friends i am blessed to have are true, and that's what is the most important.

2. i'm going home in 2 and a half weeks! a visit which will include a potential visit to victoria with my mummy, some kind of adventure with mr. dalin, hopefully some thrifting, and a behind sapphire concert featuring the wonderful lindsay lou.

3. i am surrounded by family, even a million miles away. between my family and max's, i have 2 fantastic families that support, love and care for me and i am SOO lucky. so blessed.

4. i have these words to live by:

i have returned!

finally, after a -brief?- hiatus, i have decided to return to my blog. this is mainly because i have horrendous nightmares every night. last night i hit a breaking point when i dreamt i was walking around 8 months pregnant.. it was terrifying. so blog time it is!!

1. it's thursday, which is my friday. i have a ton to do this weekend, but still.. yaay. eating and watching NCIS all night hopefully! so ideal.
2. my mother arrives on wednesday, so less than a week! i'm quite excited for her visit.
3. my mother is starting a new business! she makes BEAUTIFUL jewelry, and i have been helping her with the tech side of things like setting up etsy and taking photos. so i made a few little collages for fun showcasing some stuff that she made.. :)

her business is called belle bibelot, which means 'beautiful trinket' in french. so perfect. and it's all going to be up on etsy soon, which is so great. this beautiful jewelry brings me soo much happiness!!
